Outlook Client Error : Invalid ArgumentDo you want to send email?

I recently en courted the following issue with the CRM 2011 Outlook Client. After hours of research and troubleshooting, I found a solution.

  • Check if any record in CRM is using the user’s email address, especially Account and Contacts. In my case there were 19 Accounts records and 15 Contacts records. After removing the user’s email address from this records, the Outlook client functioned normally.
  • I think the CRM Outlook Client in my case, it did not know to which record it must attach the email to when the user tracks the email to CRM.
